Is Your Cyber Security Training Good Enough?

With the war heating up in Russia many believe that the importance of cyber security is more important than ever.

Simple training exercises with your staff can reduce the chances of your company getting hacked however many businesses overlook these steps.

Ask yourself this:

  • Do you take time with your employees to discuss cyber security?
  • Do you train your employees on how to handle suspicious emails or activities?
  • Do you train your staff on how to detect social engineering scams and phone calls?
  • Do you have a written plan for incident response, disaster recovery, or network documentation?
  • Is your staff trained on the incident responses and do you practice drills regularly?
  • Does your staff casually share passwords or write down passwords in commonly known places?
  • Do you keep track of passwords and a log of who has been given those passwords?
  • Do you have SOP that guarantees all passwords will be changed upon employee termination?
  • Do you have a service plan for updates, virus software, and patch management to your devices?
  • Do you manage company devices from a central server that allows remote wiping?
  • Do you encrypt field laptop drives with sensitive data?
  • Do you require 2 Factor Authentication for Remote Desktop Applications like RDS or Teamviewer?

If you answer no to any of these questions you may want to consider hiring me to train your staff 1-1 to make good and safe IT decisions. I can teach them:

  • Secure Password Keeping Methods.
  • Avoid Scams, Phishing Attempts, Malware, and Viruses.
  • How to properly maintain their computers and devices.
  • Not to give out any sensitive information to 3rd parties.
  • How to quickly respond to an incident, hack, or breached information.
  • I can even teach managers how to securely administer resources and passwords.
